Chiefs Game!!

Justin and I attended the Chiefs vs. Titans game the day after Christmas. Dec. 26,2010. It was very cold and they were teasing me about how I looked. I was trying to stay warm. Here are some pictures.

Putting away the Christmas stuff!

Today I have been busy putting all the Christmas stuff away. I love getting it out but it is a chore putting it all away. Justin's mom sent him home with a few boxes from his childhood and when my mom was here she did the same. Last night we went through his stuff and decided what to keep and what to throw away. Today I put it all away it its place. Mom brought me a hope chest and that is where we are storing things like that. When I have friends come over that have children, I don't have anything for them to play with because Justin and I don't have children yet. Justin found so old trucks and tractors that he used to play with---YAY!! Now the kids will have something to play with. I also found some old books of his and some kids books my mom had given me. Now I feel better if someone were to come over, at least the kids would have a few things to play with.
I am working on laundry right now and Justin is at work. I hate laundry. I hate putting it away most of all. I wash, dry, and fold, then I put my stuff away and the towels and such and then Justin puts his stuff away.
Our housekeeper is coming over tomorrow, which is good because we have company coming on Friday so my house will look spic and span when they come. I can't wait for her to get here. She always makes the house look and smell so good. Plus that is the only time our bed gets made...LOL!!
Well, I need to put the dishes away so it will be empty and ready for her in the morning plus I need to fold the load of clothes.
Have a wonderful day.

After Christmas!

It is now after Christmas and I would like to say that I had a very hard time this Christmas. I cried alot for I know that I would've been seven months pregnant but the Lord had other plans. I know His plans are so much better than my plans but it was still a rough holiday for me. I enjoyed the Chiefs game but I think next time I go it won't be in December when it's freezing. LOL!! Justin had me wrapped up tight and I wasn't too cold. Justin and the rest of my family were laughing at me being all wrapped up and said I looked like the little boy from the movie, A Christmas Story and I was Ralphie's little brother. My mom has been talking about this eReader that she just bought and now I want one. I don't get to read much but I still think it would be fun to have.
After this Christmas I am more and more excited to start a new tradition with my new family. Justin is having a hard time with this because he says we still have other family. Well, this I know but I don't understand why any of our family wouldn't want us to have new traditions as we weave into our own ways and things. I think heading up Christmas evening to a parent's house isn't too bad. It is still Christmas but our kiddos have still gotten to wake up on Christmas day with their mom and dad and opened gifts.
Today I go to the dentist and I am a little anxious about it. I know everything will be just fine, but it still makes me a little nervous.
My love to all!

Christmas Time!!!

Christmas time is here. Justin and I had our Christmas with each other last night because we going out of town tonight and through Christmas. On Saturday (Christmas) we will be at his parents house til about 2 then we will be heading to my dads house. We will be there Christmas afternoon and then on Sunday we are going to the Chiefs vs. Titans game. I can't wait, I have never been to a Chiefs game, but I know it will be COLD!!!
I can't wait til Justin and I have children. I want to start a new tradition with all of us. I want Christmas Eve to open stockings, read the Christmas story from the Bible and then maybe play a game. Then Christmas morning we will open presents and have Christmas as a family at our house---No traveling til after Christmas. We shall see how his parents feel about that one.

Almost December!

Well it is almost December and how time has flown. Please pray for us in that we are having some financial trouble. With the holidays quickly approaching and money running low I am getting stressed. Which I pretty much stay stressed when it comes to money..LOL!!
I am trying to think of creative activities to do with my school kiddos.

Glory to God!

Today is Thanksgiving day and I am up before six a.m. I can't sleep and I'm not sure why. I don't have any plans for the day or anything to bake, I think my body is just used to getting up at this time of day. Justin has to work today. We did Thanksgiving with my mom last weekend, she came to visit and we had a great time. We actually did Christmas also. Then this coming weekend we are having Thanksgiving at Justin's parent's house. So today we didn't need to do a Thanksgiving for just us. Maybe next year we will have an addition to the family, but who knows.
Yesterday I did do lots of baking though. I made 72 rolls, an apple pie, an oreo dessert, and a peanut butter chocolate dessert thing. We had an outreach for the families in Rockaway Beach to come get a free meal and Pastor Jonathan shared the gospel. It was so awesome to see God work in the lives of these people and hopefully they will find their real hope in Jesus.

My momma is here!

My mom is here this weekend and we are having so much fun. She took us all out for supper at Cracker Barrel yesterday. Today we got up and went into town...we did a little shopping in downtown Branson and then went to eat at Freddy's..I love Freddy's but my mom didn't care for it. After that we went and got our nails done...It was so much fun having a little girls time. When we finished my hot husband met up with us and we went shopping at Tanger and a Craft Mall.
After shopping we headed to Bass Pro to pick up a deep fryer to fry our turkey we are having tomorrow. I can't wait for our Thanksgiving feast tomorrow.
I made an apple pie this evening for the first time and let me tell you it was OH SO GOOD! I did well for my first time. Well, I better get back to visiting.

The weekend is almost over!

This week has been very busy. On monday I had a meeting with our pastor about my new position in the church. On Tuesday we had a meeting with all the teacher, Wednesday was my birthday. Justin made me his grandma's 'famous' cheesecake. It is the best cheesecake I have ever had. It was amazing. He bought me a bible and a case. It is so pretty and I love it.
Thursday was a pretty calm day.

Justin left Friday to go deer hunting. He will be gone til Monday. I sure do miss him when he is gone and there are always strange noises in the house that I don't hear when he is with me. He called last night and he didn't have a deer in hand yet. Daniel, Justin's brother, did get one though. Hopefully today or tomorrow he will bring us home some meat.

Kymberly has been trying to get me to try on the bridesmaid dress that she picked out for her wedding. I have been so busy I have totally forgot to go try it on. I know I am a bad friend. Hopefully she will forgive me. I am not sure what to do because Justin and I are trying to have a baby again and having to order a dress now and not having the wedding til May could cause a problem.

Well I am headed to church so I better get busy.

Lord's Day

This is the day that the Lord has made, I will rejoice and be glad in it. Today is Sunday and Justin and I are getting ready for church. We love the church we attend and we really feel that God is moving in the church.
I am in charge of the worship PowerPoint so I have to be there an hour before to get it all set up and get everything ready. Please pray for me as Tuesday is a big day for me. Please pray that the church is understanding in Pastor's decisions and very respective to his ideas.
Wednesday is my 28th birthday. I pray that the Lord blesses me with a child soon, so I am not too old to have children.
It has been getting a little cold here in the mornings. It is nice to have a change from the summer heat, I just wish it would be about 70 degrees all year long. That would make for a great day everyday.
My mom is coming to visit me the weekend before Thanksgiving. I am so excited to see her. I haven't seen her or my sisters since July. I can't wait. I do get to see Joy more often because she is at college and lots closer to me. We are going to have a "Thanksgiving" meal while she is here. I am not sure what we are making yet, but I know it will be good.
Well, I still have my hair wrapped in a towel so I better go do something with it before church.
I love you all and have a wonderful Lord's day also.

This N That

Well, the supper was a flop for my husband as he didn't like it...I loved it though so I dunno...oh well I will try again sometime.

I don't think I ever put on here but a few weeks ago our church had a fundraiser because we are needing a bigger building and we need it fast...well anyway we raised over $15,000 just that one day for our fundraiser. God was really working there and it was nice to see.

At church I am teaching the 3/4 grade class right now. They are a handful, but I am trying to show them God's love and how they need to be Respectful.
The pastor and his wife want me to start doing a new job at the church...I have self-proclaimed my title to be Director of Children's Ministry. LOL!! We will see what they think about that. My pastor's wife always tells me to just say God told me. So there I am just telling them that God told me that was my new title there.
Justin has been wanting to start a prayer ministry at the church and that would be so awesome for us as we will be getting into a lot of spiritual warfare with the building coming up and new things happening. Please pray that people are accepting of his vision and they too come beside him and we all work together for the LORD. As that is our main goal, not ourselves but our God.

Monday, October 25, 2010

WOW! that's good.

I just made something new for supper. It is called Hamburger Cheese Bake and I got it out if a recipe book my mother in law gave me. It is amazing....Well, I have only had a few small bits because I am waiting on my husband to get back from hunting so we can eat, but the few small bits I had were GREAT!!! I can't wait to eat the rest.

Busy and boring!

It seems as if my life is busy but really boring actually. I seem to be on the go all the time but never have anything to write about on my blog. Justin and I have decided to start trying again to have a baby so please pray that everything goes well. We know God has it under control. Justin has been cleaning up the lot next to us and soon it will actually be looking nice and Justin will begin his shop building. For Christmas I think I will just get him a gift card to Home Depot so he can have it for stuff for his shop. For Christmas I get to go to an NFL game. The Chiefs play the day after Christmas and a bunch of my family is going so it should be lots of fun. I have never been so I am kind of excited to go. Well, I better get busy on things around the house. Ta ta for now.

6th grade and Anniversary

I have been teaching sixth grade for about five weeks now. I am loving every minute of it (almost). I am enjoying the Math part of it but I am struggling with Science. I am sure it will all come along soon enough but I am just wondering if it ever will.
The Lord has been so wonderful to us lately. We are living paycheck to paycheck but we don't go without. The Lord has richly blessed. My husband and I celebrated our 1 year anniversary last Sunday (two days ago). It seems that it has been longer than that, but at the same time the last year flew by. I love my hubby so much and I am looking forward to many more anniversaries with the man of dreams.

What a Life!

I lead such a boring life. I don't ever really have much to talk about. On the 19th will be our one year anniversary. This past weekend over Labor day, since was a longer weekend, we drove down to Hot Springs, AR and had our anniversary trip. It was so much and we had such a blast. If you ask Justin his favorite part was the Gangster Museum but I didn't like that at all. I enjoyed our massages, the dinner and dancing on the Belle of Hot Springs, and also doing the old time photos. It was fun to get into costume and act like we were back in the old days. We did lots of other fun stuff too. We toured the area, ate at great restaurants, saw all the nature springs that come out of the mountain at 143 degrees F. We had a great time. I will try to post pictures later.

Change

A lot has changed in our lives this week. We found out on Tuesday that I had a miscarriage. Wednesday I went in to have a DNC and then Thursday and Friday and I stayed home and rested. We are dealing well with everything now. It is hard but we know that God has a plan WAY bigger than we can ever dream. He is our provider and He will see us through.

RESPECT!

Respect- what is that anymore? It seems as if most kids don't know what respect is, or how to respect their peers and especially adults. I have been thinking about this as we are preparing for a baby in our house. I want to show my child respect and teach him/her what that is so that he/she will grow up to be respectful and to be a Godly person. I think respect starts when you 1st respect. Parents need to show by example and teach their children, not try and let them figure it out on their own.
My children will be disciplined and it is a strong belief that my husband and I have. Spare the rod, spoil the child. If a child has not been disciplined then that also goes back to the respect thing. Why should they show some respect when they haven't been taught, shown, or disciplined for not showing respect.

Fellowship

WOW! My house is clean. I have been working hard to get it together because tonight our Pastor Jonathan and his wife Amy and their daughter Macy are all coming over for supper and fellowship. It should be really fun because we haven't had them over in a long time. I am resting this afternoon to get ready to make all the yummy stuff I am making for supper tonight. I can't wait to have them over.

I'm Pregnant!!!!

Well that's right, I'm pregnant. I am about 8 weeks along. Justin and I are so excited and we can't wait to meet the little bundle of joy. My friend got me the onsie and then the others pictures are self explanitory.

At my momma's house

I am enjoying my time at my mom's house. I have to leave tomorrow morning and make rounds to visit some friends of mine. I miss them all so much. My mom gave us some grocery stuff for our bare pantry and lots of other goodies. She finds lots of deals so I like to go "shopping" in her pantries. We went to a farmer's market today and my mom sold some of her Pink Monkey Soap products. She did really well. We ate at Taco Tico afterwards. We don't have any of those in Missouri so I was craving it. I love the taco burgers. We also went to Liberal, KS yesterday and went shopping with my sisters, Justin, and my mom. We had lots of fun there and Justin made out like a bandit. He got lots of good clothes but he needed new ones. The first day we were here we just hung out and enjoyed lounging around. Tomorrow we head out and then hopefully get a hotel room and have some time for ourselves. Tuesday we will be back at home. It has been a nice relaxing trip.

Back online!

Well Hello friends and family. I am back online. We had a virus on our computer. Chad a friend of ours fixed it. He said that facebook has a lot of viruses so be careful and don't open any outside videos. It has been crazy since I was last on here, actually I can't remember when that was. Over the 4th of July, Justin and I went to Jefferson City to help his parents sell turkey legs. We sold out early but Justin said that he isn't going to sell out next year.LOL!! Who knows. It is hot and gross, greasy, and smelly but its good money. We are going to help them at another in September. I am hoping we can get Justin's boat paid off with the extra money we are making. He is needing a new truck but we have to get that billed paid off 1st before he can get a new truck.

Busy, busy, busy

Well, last weekend was busy but we had fun with Brian and Andrea. They loved Dixie Stampede. We had a blast at the lake. Justin's bonfire was great and church was awesome, even though we missed our pastor.
This week seemed to be just as busy. Justin and I went to his parents house Monday after he got off work and the Tuesday; Justin, his dad, and his brother went to Truman lake and went fishing. The had fun but said it was really HOT!!! I'm sure it was. We headed back home on Tuesday night and then Justin worked the rest of the week. Thursday was his actual birthday so I went to work with him and took him so lunch, then I hung out with him for a while. I came back and picked him up for work and we headed to Joe's Crab Shack. Justin loved it. I had a steak, it was really good also. Then Justin wanted to go to the local arcade and play games, so I took him there. He got to be spoiled but I think he had fun.
Well, here is another weekend and its busy. Justin has to work all weekend but we are trying to fit in some play around that. We went over to Sarah's last night and she feed us and we played games with her and Sharla, and Lee (they are friends of Sarah's from school, but they are so fun). Anyway, today is Sunday and its the LORD's day so we will be heading to church soon. Justin will work after church and then I think we will go to the college and watch some fireworks. I love watching fireworks. It makes me so happy. We go help Justin's parents over the 4th of July weekend at a festival so we don't get to enjoy the fireworks like I want to, so hopefully this will be a compromise.

Busy Weekend

WOW!! What a busy weekend we are going to have. Our friends from Arkansas Brian and Andrea should be here any minute, they are staying the weekend with us. We are going to Dixie Stampede tonight.
Tomorrow will be a busy day. We are going to the lake in the morning, part of the afternoon, then back here to have a bonfire-bbq here at the house to celebrate Justin's birthday. His birthday isn't until the 24th but he has to work next weekend, so this weekend it is.
On Sunday we will go to church with Brian and Andrea and then head back out to the lake. Andrea and Brian will have to leave that afternoon and I hope to take a nap. It is going to be a busy weekend but a fun and I can't wait. I wish I had fun things to do every weekend...it beats just sittin' in the house. I wish Justin could get Saturdays off but I guess I should be thankful he doesn't have to work on Sunday! Well I need to get ready for my fun weekend. Wish me luck!

WHAT A DAY!

Today has been one of those days. You know very eventful. It started off by Amy calling to tell me that she couldn't go to White Water because her grandpa is very sick and she was heading to see him. So I decided to pray for her and then head to school. My room had just gotten waxed so I had to rearrange things. I started but I feel like I didn't even put a dent in it. After that I went to Wal-Mart and picked up some groceries for Justin's birthday party this weekend. I headed to Justin's work to bring him lunch. While there he got a phone call from our pastor asking Justin to go visit a lady that lives down the street from us, she was asking to help with food.
After work Justin went over there and talked with the lady. Justin said that the lady started crying and was saying she had no meat in the house. Justin and I went to the grocery store and bought her some hamburger, chicken, pizzas, milk, and lots of other food. We had some stuff in our freezer that we took over to her as well. When we took it over to her you should've seen the look on her face, she was so thankful. It was sad to see that she had no food to give her kids but it was good to see how thankful she was. She hasn't been to church but her son went during VBS and has been asking her to go. Justin asked her to come to church and she said she would. Praise God! Pray for her and her salavation. She recently lost her job and has applied many places but can't seem to find a job. We prayed with her in the middle of her kitchen and all of us were in tears. We hugged her and then left. When we got home I realized we should've invited her over for supper, her kids had gone somewhere so they weren't home. Justin offered it to her but she said a neighbor had come over but maybe sometime her and the boys could come down for supper.
So we ate supper and had a pleasant dinner. I was taking the scraps out to our dog, Fisher, and then all of the sudden Fisher started acting weird and like he was hurt. I yelled for Justin and we thought we might have to put him down because he was in so much pain. I came inside to see if there might be a vet hospital that was open late. I had no success. When I went back outside Fisher was up and walking around. Justin said God healed him. I said what happened. He said God healed him. I said I know that but what do you think was wrong with him. We have no idea but fisher is better. PRAISE THE LORD!!
Anyway, it has been an eventful day with the LORD always prevailing.
We are watching the Celtics vs Lakers game and that isn't looking too good for Boston but everything else today has turned out for the good.

VBS a success!

Saddle Ridge Ranch VBS was AWESOME!!! The children enjoyed playing the games, eating the food, signing the songs, and doing crafts, but many of them were also so excited to listen to the Bible Story!! Praise God! I heard one child say, " Yes, we get to go listen to the Bible story now!" That is awesome! God is so alive in our church and He is working. We had 5 salvations during VBS!!! God is good, all the time! All the time, God is good!!! Church on Sunday was very humbling! It was so amazing to see how the LORD works through Pastor Jonathan and how he is just so humbled to be God's servent.

This week is pretty relaxing...at least I hope so. Today I am just doing laundry and trying to organize. I have already done dishes for the day but I some how now have a whole sink full of dishes again. Tomorrow I am going to White Water with Amy and Macy. It should be fun but I need to wear lots of sunscreen. Justin and I went to Table Rock Lake yesterday we both got sun burnt. I put some sunscreen on but I guess it wasn't enough. Justin didn't put any on until it was too late. Maybe next time he will listen to me.
I have a workshop that I am so excited about on Thursday. It is a make-it, take-it math games night. They supply everything we need for a full set of 6 games and all we have to do is cut them out. It is great. Well, I need to get around and head to town to find a swimming suit. I have gained weight and can't seem to find one that fits.

Silver Dollar City

Yeah, I finally got to go to Silver Dollar City yesterday. Justin and I asked Amy and Jonathan (our pastor and his wife) if they wanted to go tubing with us on Table Rock Lake but Amy is pregnant and she didn't think she could handle it, so we headed out to Silver Dollar City instead. We had fun. Our 1st ride was the new Tom and Huck water ride. It was fun but their daughter, Macy, didn't like getting her face wet and so she didn't like it much. Then we let Macy ride some of the kiddie rides to make up for our ride that she didn't like. She had so much fun, she is a doll.
This week starts VBS at Bridge of Faith and it is going to be great. Justin and I are in of recreation aka GAMES!! VBS is so fun and I hope a lot of kids realize God loves them and we have tons of salvations!!! God is good, Praise the LORD.

New Law and W2s in 2011

From an Air Force/Delta friend.

You really need to read this……starts next year ...This is part of the new Health Care Bill.Contacted my Congressman about House bill HR3590 the health care bill just passed. I asked for a summary of changes. The aid directed me to go to www. thomas.gov ; enter HR3590 in the search Box and look for summaries. Starting in 2011 (next year folks) your W 2 tax form sent by your employer will be increased to show the value of what ever health insurance you are given by the company. It does not matter if that's a private concern or governmental body of some sort. If you're retired, so what; your gross will go up by the amount of insurance you get.You will be required to pay taxes on a large sum of money that you have never seen.Take your tax form you just finished and see what $15,000 or $20,000 additional gross does to your tax debt. That's what you'll pay next year. For many it also puts you into a new higher bracket so it's even worse. This is how the government is going to buy insurance for 15 % that don't have insurance and it's only part of the tax increases. Not believing this I researched the summaries and here's what I'm reading:On page 25 of 29:TITLE IX REVENUE PROVISIONS- SUBTITLE A: REVENUE OFFSET PROVISIONS-(sec. 9001, as modified by sec. 10901) Sec.9002. "requires employers to include in the W-2 form of each employee the aggregate cost of applicable employer sponsored group health coverage that is excludable from the employees gross income."Joan Pryde is the senior tax editor for the Kiplinger letters. Go to Kiplingers and read about 13 tax changes that could affect you. Number 3 is what I just told you about. Why am I sending you this? The same reason I hope you forward this to every single person in your address book. People have the right to know the truth because an election is coming in November. A little of Everything!

As I sit here and write on my blog, my husband, Justin is making us omelets for breakfast. He says he is the breakfast cook. That is ok that way I get one meal off. Haheha! Anyway, my friend Kristin from Louisiana is here this week but staying in a condo. Yesterday I got to babysit her sweet precious daughter so they could go to White Water. I am getting baby fever. Kristin and Matt and precious Reagan are coming over for supper tonight. Justin is making fish...YUCK!! I am making chicken for me.
VBS is next week at our church. It is fun preparing for this time of year. Justin and I will be in charge of recreation. Oh joy, we shall see how that goes...LOL!! Well I better get off here and get around. Too much to do. So little time.

Memorial Weekend Camping Trip

This past Saturday and Sunday, Justin and I went camping in our new to us pop up camper. We love the little camper. We didn't want to go to far away from home for our first trip so we headed into Branson on Lake Taneycomo to Cooper Creek Campground. We had lots of fun. I tried to fish but I didn't catch anything. Justin got some so that was good. He likes to eat fish. I can't stand it. Monday we packed up and headed back home. I know we were close to home but it still took forever to get everything back. Two trips one to bring the camper home and one to bring the boat home. We went to a Bar-be-que at Kristin and Chad's house around 2. The food was excellent and we enjoyed the company and getting to know some new people. After that my friends from Louisiana came to town for vacation. Kirstin and Matt- I haven't seen them in about three years and let me tell you, that is WAY too long. I want to go down there next year. I think I can convince Justin because he may be able to go fishing in the Gulf while we are there. Kristin and Matt have a new little baby girl, Reagan, well she is one but I haven't seen her til Monday. Anyway, we all went to eat at Cracker Barrel on Monday evening and then we went to their condo. We had a great time catching up and Justin got to meet them for the first time. Life is good and I wish Kristin and Matt could stay longer.

Our new camper!

Babysit!

I am babysitting for a friend of mine. Her little daughter is about 15 months old and oh so cute. She is a very good baby. All she does all day long is smile and giggle at me. I must look silly to her. Who knows.
Anyway I watched her for a little bit yesterday but Justin (my husband) decided to get a camper, so we drove 3 hours one way to get a camper...got the camper and drove that many hours home. It was a long drive but our camper looks great. LOL!! Its new to us.
I went out to my garden this morning with Adelyn (the little girl I am watching) and I cut some lettuce. This is the first from my fresh garden. I can't wait to eat the wonderful lettuce. I know it will be a lot better for us than the stuff at the grocery store, if I get all the bugs off it...Just kidding. I will get all the bugs out.
Mom, your commment did get monitored I just didn't post it. I love you!

Prayer Request!

Friends and Family,
Please pray for a friend of mine, Kristin. She had a close friend pass away today. I met the lady this past Saturday, 4 days ago, at a Pampered Chef Party and she was ok then. They said she was fine but her heart just stopped. If you would lift my friend Kristin and her family up in your prayers I would appreciate it.
Father God, I lift up Linda's family to you today. Please be with them and comfort them in this time of loss. Be with Kristin and her parents Julie and David as they have lost a great friend. Please give them a peace that passes all understanding and wrap your loving arms around them. In your name I pray. AMEN!

Summer Job!

I can't decide if I want to get a summer job or not. However, I do have a couple little jobs to do. I am watching a friend of mine's daughter a couple of days this week, I of course, am helping Amy this summer prepare for things like VBS and the Fourth of July. I will be helping Justin's parents at a couple festivals this summer also. Busy summer but I hope to have some fun also.

Funny!

I thought this was a really cute and true e-mail I recieved.

A teacher asked her 6th grade class how many of them
were Obama fans. Not really knowing what an Obama fan is, but wanting to
be liked by the teacher, all the kids raised their hands
except for Little Johnny .The teacher asked Little Johnny why he has decided
to be different... again.Little Johnny said, "Because I'm not an Obama fan."The teacher asked, "Why aren't you a fan of Obama?"
Johnny said, "Because I'm a Republican."The teacher asked him why he's a Republican.
Little Johnny answered, "Well, my Mom's a Republican,
my Dad's a Republican, so I'm a Republican."
Annoyed by this answer, the teacher asked, "If your mom was
a moron and your dad was an idiot, what would that make you?"With a big smile, Little Johnny replied,
"That would make me an Obama fan."

Everything!

Wow! there is a lot happening this weekend. My in-laws are in town doing a festival in Rockaway Beach. On Saturday I am going to a pampered chef party and hanging out with Kristin from church. We just met so it will great to get to know each other more. Then Sunday our church is having a ground breaking celebration. The LORD is really moving in Rockaway and we are so excited to get things going with the new building. We really need the space so I can't wait. It is going to be a great day. I am making potato salad for the ground breaking! It is my mom's recipe and its DELICIOUS!!!

Friends??

Friend(s)--what kind of word is that? Sometimes I wonder who my true friends are and who they aren't. Some of my friends seem to only want to be friends when it is convenient for them, others are there for me but may live a long way from here. Some I can never seem to get in touch with because our lives are so busy. At any rate I still love them all.
There is one friend that is always there for me. His name is JESUS! Even though I may sometimes stray from Him, He is always there with open arms waiting for me to come back to Him. What a true friend we have in the LORD our God!
My momma makes manufactured stone and she made Justin and me Ten Commandments stones. I worked today to find a place out front for them. What a better world this would be if we all would just live by those ten simple things.

House work! BLAH!!

Today I don't have to go to work. YEAH!!! I am off until August 9th, well kind of. I will still be working and helping friends out and things, but no actual work until then. I am looking forward to a great summer.
I am feeling much better today. Still not 100% but getting closer. Today is house cleaning day, YUCK!!! I don't like it one bit, but it has to be done. Justin's parents will be in town this weekend so I need to get the house clean before they come.
Today I have started laundry, done dishes, and folded some clothes that needed folded. Laundry is top priority today.
At 1 I am going over to my friend Amy's house to help her get some things organized for Wednesday nights at church. She is the pastor's wife and a dear friend.

1st Day of Summer break

Yesterday, since it is very early on Sunday morning, was my first day of summer break. It was very busy and now I feel like I am getting sick. It is 4:18 in the am and I can't sleep. The flu has been going around school. Lots of teachers were sick the last day of school, I hope I don't catch it, that wouldn't be any fun at all.
Today we are going to go to church and the have Jonathan and Amy (our pastor and his wife) over for lunch and fellowship. After that I hope to just have a relaxing day.
Monday I am going to go help Amy with some church stuff. I'm not sure I know what I am doing but I will try my best. Well, I need to try and get back to bed.

Last Day of School!!

Hello friends,
It is the last day of school here at Galena Elementary. It is my last day in 2nd grade as well. Next year I will be teaching 6th grade Math and Science. I am looking forward to the wonderful opportunity the LORD has blessed me with.
I had 24 amazing students this year, and I am looking forward to next year.

This summer I hope I get to rest, go camping, hang out somewhere at a pool and enjoy my summer. I have a few things planned already and it looks as if the there won't be much more time left of summer, but hopefully there is some.
