Busy, busy, busy

Well, last weekend was busy but we had fun with Brian and Andrea. They loved Dixie Stampede. We had a blast at the lake. Justin's bonfire was great and church was awesome, even though we missed our pastor.
This week seemed to be just as busy. Justin and I went to his parents house Monday after he got off work and the Tuesday; Justin, his dad, and his brother went to Truman lake and went fishing. The had fun but said it was really HOT!!! I'm sure it was. We headed back home on Tuesday night and then Justin worked the rest of the week. Thursday was his actual birthday so I went to work with him and took him so lunch, then I hung out with him for a while. I came back and picked him up for work and we headed to Joe's Crab Shack. Justin loved it. I had a steak, it was really good also. Then Justin wanted to go to the local arcade and play games, so I took him there. He got to be spoiled but I think he had fun.
Well, here is another weekend and its busy. Justin has to work all weekend but we are trying to fit in some play around that. We went over to Sarah's last night and she feed us and we played games with her and Sharla, and Lee (they are friends of Sarah's from school, but they are so fun). Anyway, today is Sunday and its the LORD's day so we will be heading to church soon. Justin will work after church and then I think we will go to the college and watch some fireworks. I love watching fireworks. It makes me so happy. We go help Justin's parents over the 4th of July weekend at a festival so we don't get to enjoy the fireworks like I want to, so hopefully this will be a compromise.

Busy Weekend

WOW!! What a busy weekend we are going to have. Our friends from Arkansas Brian and Andrea should be here any minute, they are staying the weekend with us. We are going to Dixie Stampede tonight.
Tomorrow will be a busy day. We are going to the lake in the morning, part of the afternoon, then back here to have a bonfire-bbq here at the house to celebrate Justin's birthday. His birthday isn't until the 24th but he has to work next weekend, so this weekend it is.
On Sunday we will go to church with Brian and Andrea and then head back out to the lake. Andrea and Brian will have to leave that afternoon and I hope to take a nap. It is going to be a busy weekend but a fun and I can't wait. I wish I had fun things to do every weekend...it beats just sittin' in the house. I wish Justin could get Saturdays off but I guess I should be thankful he doesn't have to work on Sunday! Well I need to get ready for my fun weekend. Wish me luck!

WHAT A DAY!

Today has been one of those days. You know very eventful. It started off by Amy calling to tell me that she couldn't go to White Water because her grandpa is very sick and she was heading to see him. So I decided to pray for her and then head to school. My room had just gotten waxed so I had to rearrange things. I started but I feel like I didn't even put a dent in it. After that I went to Wal-Mart and picked up some groceries for Justin's birthday party this weekend. I headed to Justin's work to bring him lunch. While there he got a phone call from our pastor asking Justin to go visit a lady that lives down the street from us, she was asking to help with food.
After work Justin went over there and talked with the lady. Justin said that the lady started crying and was saying she had no meat in the house. Justin and I went to the grocery store and bought her some hamburger, chicken, pizzas, milk, and lots of other food. We had some stuff in our freezer that we took over to her as well. When we took it over to her you should've seen the look on her face, she was so thankful. It was sad to see that she had no food to give her kids but it was good to see how thankful she was. She hasn't been to church but her son went during VBS and has been asking her to go. Justin asked her to come to church and she said she would. Praise God! Pray for her and her salavation. She recently lost her job and has applied many places but can't seem to find a job. We prayed with her in the middle of her kitchen and all of us were in tears. We hugged her and then left. When we got home I realized we should've invited her over for supper, her kids had gone somewhere so they weren't home. Justin offered it to her but she said a neighbor had come over but maybe sometime her and the boys could come down for supper.
So we ate supper and had a pleasant dinner. I was taking the scraps out to our dog, Fisher, and then all of the sudden Fisher started acting weird and like he was hurt. I yelled for Justin and we thought we might have to put him down because he was in so much pain. I came inside to see if there might be a vet hospital that was open late. I had no success. When I went back outside Fisher was up and walking around. Justin said God healed him. I said what happened. He said God healed him. I said I know that but what do you think was wrong with him. We have no idea but fisher is better. PRAISE THE LORD!!
Anyway, it has been an eventful day with the LORD always prevailing.
We are watching the Celtics vs Lakers game and that isn't looking too good for Boston but everything else today has turned out for the good.

VBS a success!

Saddle Ridge Ranch VBS was AWESOME!!! The children enjoyed playing the games, eating the food, signing the songs, and doing crafts, but many of them were also so excited to listen to the Bible Story!! Praise God! I heard one child say, " Yes, we get to go listen to the Bible story now!" That is awesome! God is so alive in our church and He is working. We had 5 salvations during VBS!!! God is good, all the time! All the time, God is good!!! Church on Sunday was very humbling! It was so amazing to see how the LORD works through Pastor Jonathan and how he is just so humbled to be God's servent.

This week is pretty relaxing...at least I hope so. Today I am just doing laundry and trying to organize. I have already done dishes for the day but I some how now have a whole sink full of dishes again. Tomorrow I am going to White Water with Amy and Macy. It should be fun but I need to wear lots of sunscreen. Justin and I went to Table Rock Lake yesterday we both got sun burnt. I put some sunscreen on but I guess it wasn't enough. Justin didn't put any on until it was too late. Maybe next time he will listen to me.
I have a workshop that I am so excited about on Thursday. It is a make-it, take-it math games night. They supply everything we need for a full set of 6 games and all we have to do is cut them out. It is great. Well, I need to get around and head to town to find a swimming suit. I have gained weight and can't seem to find one that fits.

Silver Dollar City

Yeah, I finally got to go to Silver Dollar City yesterday. Justin and I asked Amy and Jonathan (our pastor and his wife) if they wanted to go tubing with us on Table Rock Lake but Amy is pregnant and she didn't think she could handle it, so we headed out to Silver Dollar City instead. We had fun. Our 1st ride was the new Tom and Huck water ride. It was fun but their daughter, Macy, didn't like getting her face wet and so she didn't like it much. Then we let Macy ride some of the kiddie rides to make up for our ride that she didn't like. She had so much fun, she is a doll.
This week starts VBS at Bridge of Faith and it is going to be great. Justin and I are in of recreation aka GAMES!! VBS is so fun and I hope a lot of kids realize God loves them and we have tons of salvations!!! God is good, Praise the LORD.

New Law and W2s in 2011

From an Air Force/Delta friend.

You really need to read this……starts next year ...This is part of the new Health Care Bill.Contacted my Congressman about House bill HR3590 the health care bill just passed. I asked for a summary of changes. The aid directed me to go to www. thomas.gov ; enter HR3590 in the search Box and look for summaries. Starting in 2011 (next year folks) your W 2 tax form sent by your employer will be increased to show the value of what ever health insurance you are given by the company. It does not matter if that's a private concern or governmental body of some sort. If you're retired, so what; your gross will go up by the amount of insurance you get.You will be required to pay taxes on a large sum of money that you have never seen.Take your tax form you just finished and see what $15,000 or $20,000 additional gross does to your tax debt. That's what you'll pay next year. For many it also puts you into a new higher bracket so it's even worse. This is how the government is going to buy insurance for 15 % that don't have insurance and it's only part of the tax increases. Not believing this I researched the summaries and here's what I'm reading:On page 25 of 29:TITLE IX REVENUE PROVISIONS- SUBTITLE A: REVENUE OFFSET PROVISIONS-(sec. 9001, as modified by sec. 10901) Sec.9002. "requires employers to include in the W-2 form of each employee the aggregate cost of applicable employer sponsored group health coverage that is excludable from the employees gross income."Joan Pryde is the senior tax editor for the Kiplinger letters. Go to Kiplingers and read about 13 tax changes that could affect you. Number 3 is what I just told you about. Why am I sending you this? The same reason I hope you forward this to every single person in your address book. People have the right to know the truth because an election is coming in November. A little of Everything!

As I sit here and write on my blog, my husband, Justin is making us omelets for breakfast. He says he is the breakfast cook. That is ok that way I get one meal off. Haheha! Anyway, my friend Kristin from Louisiana is here this week but staying in a condo. Yesterday I got to babysit her sweet precious daughter so they could go to White Water. I am getting baby fever. Kristin and Matt and precious Reagan are coming over for supper tonight. Justin is making fish...YUCK!! I am making chicken for me.
VBS is next week at our church. It is fun preparing for this time of year. Justin and I will be in charge of recreation. Oh joy, we shall see how that goes...LOL!! Well I better get off here and get around. Too much to do. So little time.

Memorial Weekend Camping Trip

This past Saturday and Sunday, Justin and I went camping in our new to us pop up camper. We love the little camper. We didn't want to go to far away from home for our first trip so we headed into Branson on Lake Taneycomo to Cooper Creek Campground. We had lots of fun. I tried to fish but I didn't catch anything. Justin got some so that was good. He likes to eat fish. I can't stand it. Monday we packed up and headed back home. I know we were close to home but it still took forever to get everything back. Two trips one to bring the camper home and one to bring the boat home. We went to a Bar-be-que at Kristin and Chad's house around 2. The food was excellent and we enjoyed the company and getting to know some new people. After that my friends from Louisiana came to town for vacation. Kirstin and Matt- I haven't seen them in about three years and let me tell you, that is WAY too long. I want to go down there next year. I think I can convince Justin because he may be able to go fishing in the Gulf while we are there. Kristin and Matt have a new little baby girl, Reagan, well she is one but I haven't seen her til Monday. Anyway, we all went to eat at Cracker Barrel on Monday evening and then we went to their condo. We had a great time catching up and Justin got to meet them for the first time. Life is good and I wish Kristin and Matt could stay longer.
